As I was perusing my favorite blogs this morning....I noticed quite a few of you dedicated your blog post yesterday to your wonderful husbands in honor of "Father's Day".
And I probably could've, SHOULD'VE done that as well but I was so busy running around with my head up my hind end that I completely forgot to call my OWN father....WHAT THE???? He's like the best father ever, with the except of our Father in Heaven. I think my dad would understand how he can't compete with God.......SERIOUSLY, I'm an idiot...

I'm not so good with remembering days, dates, special occasions, etc...I always forget if my husband was born on Aug. 3rd or 4th. I don't know how many times and have had to check his licence on more than one occasion to solve that mystery.
---------------------------------------------------------
When I was in college I forgot my mom was having MAJOR SURGERY on a particular day and my brother called me from the hospital and yelled "WHERE ARE YOU?? WHY AREN'T YOU AT THE HOSPITAL?"
-----------------------------------------------------------
My anniversary I say with quite certainty that it's Jan. 23rd but what year??? could be 2002 or maybe 2003. I have to count it out every year.
-----------------------------------------------------------
And if Miles didn't share the same birthday with me I'm positive I'd let that slide by because I don't celebrate my birthday.

Anyway the point of my rambling is this.........I knew it was Father's Day when I woke up. The kids gave Daddy their giant card they hand made (those are the best ones, ya know) and we didn't go to church because I couldn't get it together in time to get everyone cleaned, ironed and out of the house in time (I'm not proud of it but it happens a couple times a year). The church service would've been a great reminder but we missed that. Then Brian's present was an entire day of golf uninterrupted by children or phone calls from me so he wasn't around and Miles and Abby went back to their mom's house, Kenzie and I napped all afternoon and I JUST COMPLETELY FORGOT WHAT DAY IT WAS.
I had all intentions of calling my dad...Ugh!! I feel horrible and will be calling him this evening...
